Why Choose Dr. Alison Defilippi?

Dr. Defilippi is a sixth generation Nevadan. She was born and raised in Reno and graduated from Sage Ridge High School. Dr. Defilippi attended the University of Nevada, Reno, where she graduated early with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Then she then earned her dental degree from UNLV School of Dental Medicine before coming straight back home to Reno to start practicing.

Dr. Defilippi knew she wanted to be a dentist since she was six years old and never faltered in that dream. Getting patients out of pain and giving them a beautiful, healthy smile is what she loves most.

Our office specializes in gentle, pain free preventative care for the whole family. We offer routine cleanings, comprehensive exams, fluoride treatments, and sealants for young permanent teeth.

For anxious patients, Dr. Teeth offers sedation options so you can relax while remaining awake. Our goal is for patients of all ages to get realxing and quality dental care.

Professional Whitening to Lift Years of Stains

Coffee in the morning. Tea in the afternoon. Red wine on weekends. Years of daily habits leave stains that over the counter whitening strips cannot remove. One of the most popular cosmetic dental treatments we offer to treat yellow, dull, and discolored teeth is professional whitening.

Dr. Teeth offers professional in office teeth whitening that produces noticeable results in about one hour. The whitening gel is stronger than drugstore products and is applied carefully to protect gums and soft tissue. Patients typically see teeth brightened by several shades in a single appointment.

Advanced Gum Disease Treatment to Restore Your Smile

Gum disease affects nearly half of American adults over age 30. Early signs include red, swollen, or bleeding gums during brushing and flossing. Bad breath that does not go away is another common symptom. Left untreated, gum disease can lead to gum recession, bone loss, and eventually tooth loss.

Luckily, Dr. Defilippi offers restorative treatment to renew the comfort and health of your gums. For mild to moderate cases, a deep cleaning called scaling and root planing removes plaque and tartar from below the gum line. We use local anesthesia so you feel comfortable.

For more advanced cases, laser dentistry is an excellent option. The laser removes diseased tissue and bacteria without cutting or sutures. Most patients experience less bleeding, less swelling, and faster recovery.
